The Blue One is our stylish apartment in harmonious blue tones: clean lines, timeless design and an atmosphere with character. Across 46 sqm you get a separate bedroom with a king-size bed, a spacious living room with a pull-out couch and a balcony facing the quiet courtyard - ideal for a couple, a small family or two couples travelling together.
Step into The Blue One and you immediately sense the calm effect of the different blue tones. One wall in deep teal gives the room character without darkening it - the result is a stylish, grounded mood. The spacious living room offers a comfortable sofa and the 50-inch smart TV as its focal point. The pull-out couch turns into a sleeping spot for two additional guests in the evening, which is how the apartment lands at 4 people. When you come back after a day in the UNESCO old town, this is exactly the right place to arrive and breathe out.
The separate bedroom is its own room, entered through its own door off the hallway - real privacy, away from the living area. It continues the blue concept more subtly and offers a real king-size bed, high-quality linens from Denmark, its own 50-inch smart TV and black-out curtains for deep nights. The bedroom faces Steyrergasse on the street side; the newly renovated double-glazed windows insulate against traffic noise very well, so you sleep soundly here too. Travelling as a family, the parents sleep here while the kids use the pull-out couch in the living room.
Even in a 46-sqm apartment, we insist on a real eat-in kitchen. The Blue One offers a cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, espresso machine, kettle and toaster. Plates, cutlery, pans, pots and a cutting board for four people are stocked. The dining table comfortably seats a family of four or two couples. The SPAR supermarket is about 100 m away, the nearest bakery (Martin Auer) around 6 minutes on foot, and the Kaiser-Josef market is roughly 13 minutes on foot or a short ride on tram 4 and 5. Self-catering doesn't become a fallback here - it becomes a pleasure.
The bathroom is clean-cut and big enough that even four people don't queue in the morning. Walk-in shower, bright tiles, a well-lit mirror, hairdryer and fresh, high-quality towels from Denmark in several sizes. Toiletries are by RITUALS - shampoo and shower gel in refillable, reusable dispensers. Toilet paper and the basics are ready for you. The final cleaning costs 29 EUR per stay for direct bookings and is added to the room rate. You don't have to polish anything before checkout.
The balcony faces the quiet courtyard garden - the contrast between the stylish blue tones inside and the green courtyard outside feels genuinely good. You sit here in the morning with your espresso and hear birds in the garden rather than trams. In summer the garden is the kids' favourite spot: a football goal, table-tennis table, go-karts, sandbox and comfortable garden furniture invite you to linger. As a couple you use the balcony as your personal retreat morning and evening - a calm place where the day starts and ends gently.
The Blue One is the most stylish of our 4-person apartments - the different blue tones create an atmosphere with character where you settle down easily. Couples who really want to switch off after a busy travel day love the room. Small families with two kids benefit from the separate bedroom and the pull-out couch. If you want the quietest apartment, The Green One suits you best; if you prefer clean black-and-white lines, The Black and White; if you want floral lightness, The Flowers. The Blue One is the stylish option.
You stay east of the Mur on Steyrergasse 86. Trams 4 and 5 stop at the Steyrergasse stop about 100 m away, almost in front of the building. Graz Central Station is around 15 minutes away on tram 4 (direct); the UNESCO old town with Hauptplatz is about 15 minutes on foot, the Schlossberg and Clock Tower roughly 25-30 minutes. University of Graz, Kunsthaus and the Graz exhibition centre (about 0.5 km, some 8 minutes on foot) are all comfortably close. The river itself is just a short stroll away - perfect for a morning jog or an evening walk along the water.
